Director of Junior/Women’s Golf
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Function: The Director of Junior/Women’s Golf will oversee the ASGA Junior and
Women’s Program and direct the operation of specific activities such as
scheduling, organizing and coordination of junior and women’s
tournaments. In addition, the Director of Junior/Women’s Golf will also
assist in the association’s overall management of its tournament programs
under the direction of the executive director. This position is full-time,
salaried and exempt from overtime.
Responsibilities: * Oversee and direct ASGA Junior & Women’s Program
- Support the activities of the executive director and staff
- On-site tournament work
- Planning and preparation of materials for tournaments, mailings,meetings and seminars
- Proofread and edit materials
- Handle correspondence and maintain records
- Act as liaison to ASGA member clubs on questions and other
- ASGA tournaments and events
- • Support other senior staff members
- Requirements: * Knowledge of the Rules of Golf, ability to become proficient
- • Significant golf knowledge, skill and experience
- • Strong organizational and detail oriented skills
- • Strong written, verbal and public relation skills
- • Strong computer skills, including the following programs:
- ^ Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
- ^ Tournament Pairing Program (TPP) software
- • Previous Tournament administration experience preferred
- • Previous golf administration experience desired
- • Familiarity with Internet operations
- • Experience in website management desired
- • College degree
- • Access to an automobile
- • Willingness to travel, work extended hours and on weekends
